It would appear that there is a graphics issue with BF2 when using an ATI X1950 PRO 512MB.
See this thread for more information, but in a nutshell, beyond a certain distance, runways and helipads are drawn on top of any vehicles on them. This can be seen in the following partial screenshot:

Now it would appear that this problem is dependent on exactly what setup and configuration you are running - some X1950 users report the problem, others don't, so, it would be useful, at this point, if those who have an ATI X1950 pro 512mb (and please, ONLY IF YOU HAVE AN ATI X1950 PRO 512MB) could post:
1. do you have the vehicle draw-distance issue described in this thread? (yes/no)
2. OS version. (XP/Vista)
3. make of card.
4. driver version. (ATI Catalyst/ATI Driver Only/Omega/other and version number)
5. driver 3D settings. (AA, AAA, AF, AI, Mipmap, API settings)
6. in-game video settings. (all)
So, if you have an ATI X1950 PRO 512MB, could you please post here or PM me with the above details and, as the data comes in, I'll update this post with a neat table...
Thanks in advance...
