New to Online Game play

I Have been playing the game offline for a while now, but I just started to play on-line in the last few months. I have no stats...at all. I have been playing and have gotten several awards and promotions but nothing is in my stats BFHQ section. I hate being a newbie and asking a stupid question but what have I done wrong? I am getting the 1.4 patch downloaded right now. I am hoping that this will solve my problem. Any other Ideas or suggestions of settings to check would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the latest patch? It's 1.41

It has a 1 on the end.
Also, tell us what the ranked servers look like, so we know you are doing it right.

If you're just downloading the patch, then you've probably been playing 1.0 with no patches correct?
None of the servers in 1.0 are globally ranked, some sites have their own ranking system such as playonteam.net but none of them will show up in BFHQ or stats sites like bf2s.

Just download the newest patch (1.41) and play on ranked servers.

YOU are correct. I have been playing a very old version. I am getting the 1.41 patch installed right now. The servers I have been playing are coming up on the game as ranked servers. Multigamesrnet i think is one, I cant remember the others off hand.
