So, There was this festival for Hoopole, Illinois July 2nd 2007. My friend and I bought 7500 bottle rockets, and wired in 50 salutes, which do nothing but launch and explode....and this is the result.

NOTICE: Loud video and language.

Illinois has this little law where you can't do precisely what just happened in the video, the Sheriff wasn't thrilled by the show, but arrested none of us.

we used this crackle cord, at the very beginning, before it lights you can see the cord burning in the yard... so that and cannon fuse.

Very cool. Although you needed some of those little green tanks... you probably wouldn't have been able to see them, or the little balls of sparks they shoot out, but let's face it, they own.

Ya we have them in every county in the United States. State police cover the whole state. City police are limited to city limits and Sheriff's cover the whole county. Some places have different deals where the city and sheriff's may work together or be one in the same. Here in Indiana every county has a sheriff that is elected and the Police Chief is appointed by the Mayor of the City. We also have Conservation Officers here in Indiana that actually have more power than the State Police since they can go on private property without a warrant and have full arresting powers.

Back on topic: That was a pretty kick ass display and I could see how the sheriff wouldn't be to happy. Here in your neighbor state of Indiana we have legalized about all fireworks under a certain amount of flash powder but I don't remember how much. Pretty much anything you can buy is legal now. Looks like you know how to celebrate the 4th of July the right way. +1 for the video.
