Jee-zus it's getting cold here in NZ.
Thankfully I'm a little further north than Otago in the South Island. It's still pretty cold here in Wellington, but not this cold, and we don't get the hoarfrost which is a shame I suppose given the fact that it looks awesome, but man it'd be cold. My dad just got back from a buisiness trip down in Otago where the temperature didn't get above -3 celcius for the two - three days he was there.
Most of these photos are from around MacKenzie country and Twizel in Otago where the hydro lakes are. They were all taken within a week of today and it's still this cold down there. (The ones with the watermark in the corner were taken by a bloke called John Lamb.)

So...you haven't left?

Cool pics Ty, its fuxing cold here in Aus but we have only minor frost that is actually frozen dew. Does it snow where you are?

Nah there's too much salt in the air or something here so it's got to be ice-age cold to get snow at sea-level in Wellington. There's snow on the Tararuas and Rimutakas, (mountain ranges close to Wellington,) pretty consistantly though, and on a clear day I can see down to the Kaikouras on the South Island and they've snowed up real good.

man I love the cold weather. I would rather be too cold than too hot. There is something nice about the cold and being able to just wonder around with a nice big warm coat on and it be peacefull. Also enjoy the rain out in the country as all you can hear is the rain and nothing else.
