Graphics problem

A few of the newer games I tried to play recently give me this message:

Saying I need shader model 3.0 but only have 2.0.

But I can run Quake Wars and WiC ok, so is there a way to run this using only 2.0, or should I just get a new card?

If so what card? I'm not gonna get a DX10 card until I build my new system, and that won't be for a while.

You need a Radeon X1K or higher for Shader Model 3.0

I would recommend it but maybe you should get a 512MB card since you have the option to for 10$ difference.

You must have shader model 3. I couldn't play Rainbow Six Vegas because it requires model 3 and my x850xt only had 2. Sorry my friend, sounds like it's time to upgrade.
