BF2S Forums Looking for an accurate sniper!

i don't think you're gonna find anybody that accurate in this game. none of the rifles is completely accurate but the m24 is the best shot at a bullet getting right in the middle of the crosshair. for accuracy that high you'd have to have somebody who could really refrain from taking iffy shots or shooting people from the side, and when a body is in range it's really hard to do that. The best snipers are around 50%. SinnFein above has 56% and he's among the very best.

According to the statistic of this site the m95 is more inaccurate than the m24. My experiene makes me agree with that assessment wholeheartedly. http://wiki.bf2s.com/weapons/comparison
Some people blame the inaccuracy of the m95 on bullet drop. This means it can be compensated for to an extent but it has fatter crosshairs and learning how to adjust your rifle based on range when the m24 is just as powerful is pretty pointless if you ask me (unless you use it as a single shot alternative to SVD/type 88). At the end of the day the physics of the gun have a calculation that makes the bullet deviate from the center of the crosshair more than the m24 is calculated to do - that makes it less accurate.

I like taking the long shots at Kubra too, and unfortunately I miss quite a bit doing it.  Can you talk more about bullet drop on the M24?  i.e. how much drop (as measured on the scope) with respect to the perceived size of the enemy (also, as seen through the scope)?  I'd love to get better at the long shots, so I'm hoping someone with experience can help.

I prefer the m24 by far, IMO its a little more accurate than the m95. I cant complain, just yesterday i got a perfect round in mashtuur city ->  42 - 0  I really couldnt believe it, still dont know how i managed that... lol

Although I don't that many kills to some of you guys with the sniper rifle, I think I am pretty decent with the weapon.  I don't touch the semi-automatics at all.  I prefer the M24 as it has a cleaner scope reticule, and I perceive it to be more accurate especially at longer ranges since I can see those extra pixels that represent the enemy's head on my monitor.

I just love the sound of the M95 and the damage it causes to pilots and drivers, but the M24 is my baby.

somone nneeds to start a new account and get a hundred point with someother kits then pull out the sniper rifle and take one shot to the body of some that doesnt kill them and see what their accuracy shows up as

HA. im at 60% and i switch on what i want to use what map and teamm but i 100% HATE china sniper.... anyway.. goes like this, M24>M95>SVD>Type88(?) maybe the new sniper will be better then the M25 i hope so im getting bored or  have got bored of sniper...
