After playing BF2 for a while I was tired of getting my aveage 25fps.  I do alright since I am playing on a 1.8ghz Intel P4 with 1 gig pc2700 ram, ATI x700 Pro AGP 4x.  I decided to bump up my system.  Let me know what you guys think and what I should expect in my new computer.

ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe

ANTEC 550w Truepower II power supply

Mushkin PC5300 2 x 1GB DDR2 Memory

SATA2 Hitachi 80GB Hardrive

eVGA Nvidia GeForce 7800GT 256mb

Intel Pentium D 830 3.0ghz.

I went with the intel chip because my mother whould have killed me if I bought an AMD.  She works for Intel and got me the chip for 160 out the door.  Not bad huh.

well it'll do a nice job
just be aware that there is much more superior hardware on the market
eg: intel aint gonna cut it in the long run, soon processing chips will no longer be their core business

Yup, forget loyalty.  AMD kick Intel's sorry hides in the "out of the box" performance stakes at the minute.
