I support the right to have whatever school you want, but only when it comes to private school. Last time I checked, there were no public Irish-themed schools, or Italian-themed schools, etc. If you ask me, that should not be paid for by tax dollars set aside for public education.

well In ft lauderdale FL they approved a Jewish kids only school last night and to me it's the same fucking shit. no religious group should be allowed to have their own school unless they are willing to obey the public school laws

Clearly those critics are familiar with the works of Khalil Gibran, haha. Yeah, a school named after a Christian poet preaching peace and self-actualization becoming a hotbed for militant Islam.

The Khalil Gibran International Academy was conceived as a public embrace of New York City’s growing Arab population and of internationalism, the first public school dedicated to the study of the Arabic language and culture and open to students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds.

I support this idea 100%. We should have these types of centers all over the country.

Yeah, you are right. Most likely it is coming out of the State Budget, not Federal.

But then again, I believe in general referendums for just about everything, including where my taxes go.
