What a stupid missle. I was playing last night on operation clean sweep, got in the SU-34 I think it is, and I was the gunner. So we're flying around and I see a tank, so I lock on, it's like EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and I fire the missle, keep the lock on tight, and it just flies off and kills a teammate instead.

So then I get punished, even though I said sorry 3 times, and then I see a boat, coming off the USMC non-cap base mind you, and I shoot at that and it flies off and kills yet another teammate. I get punished for that one too. Then I see somethin else, tank or APC or something, shoot, hold lock, and it kills the teammate that I killed the first time. I said f*** that and jumped out and blew up the commander assets.

WTH, why is it so stupid?

It's your driver that is stupid. Sounds like he is pulling away at the last second, your LGM loses lock and goes for the nearest thing you have targeted, friendly or not.

No, there was noone else in the vecinity. Like I said, the one with the boat. It was right on the shore just starting off from the USMC main base, there's not gonna be any friendlies near that is there? No, it just flies off into the distance and kills a teammate.

I killed a tank (from my team) this way yesterday too.... That was dumb

BUT: I also killed an enemy

I know, but by itself? I wasn't near a friendly, nor had it locked on. I had it locked on to the enemy, I could hear the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep from the lock tone, also my guy said "I'm Locked On!" and so I fired, continued to hold the lock, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, but instead of going where it was locked, it flies across the map to which I couldn't even see, and killed a teammate.

Something should be improved on the LGM missle lock. For one thing, it's not a heat seeking missle, it only locks on to something (in real life) if you want it to. If you miss the target, it lands beside it.. it doesn't fly off into the next vehicle it should see.

Although I can't complain about is missing, because one time I missed my target and it flew off and hit the side of a mountain and killed a sniper.
