yeah, I just watched last week and its excellent movie. I could be wrong, but i thought that the actual story was fiction, but the events that its based on aren't.
oh yeah, the story was fiction, but the child soldiers.. the militia raping the villages - that's all true..
Yeah, that was a good film. When I read about the conflict, I was pretty amazed that the Capital city actually was overrun by ragtag guerrillas. Although, like all African civil conflicts, it just makes you realise how they all just hate each other, will never get along, and how the continent will never ever become a decent place.
The bit when he pans that lead militia guy with the shovel was pretty cool lol, but I cringed when they chopped that kids hand off at the start.
lol yeah that was pretty insane (both of them) - the sad thing is, people still do that (cutting off people's hands etc to prove a point) - they must have no conscience!
