Ok guyz.

I've been looking for the solition for 1 month. I could NOT patch BF2 after i reinstalled my XP. First, here is my dump :

Here as you see i'm stucked on chinese.utxt file. Simply i dont have this file which patch says i must.

I formatted my machine, installed XP and system then the pure BF2 from DVD. When first time i tried to patch to v1.12 it said also there were some voice files were missing. But i realized when i play on unranked servers for a while, it creates voice files for MEC, USMC, China force whatever. But never ever i had this "chinese.utxt".

-I tried to fix from smaller versions of patch, which it didnt.
-I have no problem with the graphic card nor its drivers.
-I've asked a friend (who has patched version installed) to give this whole language directory, then i tried. it didnt.
-I have enough disk space for patching.
-I've tried all the solition ways that i found from forums. (includes manually patching)
-I have no clue what the fukc solition is. (dont wanna format computer again which works perfectly)
-No virus, no trojen, no spy, no mal-ware i am sure.
-I have original BF2 key.

PLEASE help.

if someone can find this 'mods\bf2\Localization\chinese\chinese.utxt' just send me as attached :

I dont even know the "error ept0038: Failure Renaming/Deleting File C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\RTA61410" error will be ok after placing chinese file. I guess so..

-I am not chinese and start to dislike chinese.

if i were you i would contact ea support and i think they have a list of potential errors that could come they helped me once and good luck.

I would uninstall everything. Wipe the C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 folder, and the C:\Documents and Settings\~LOGINNAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2 folder. Wipe the files in your temp folder: C:\Documents and Settings\~LOGINNAME\Local Settings\Temp

~LOGINNAME is whatever profile you're using in XP.

*WARNING* - Right click this link, and save target as to a folder. Do NOT open it, as it modifies the registry. This should only be done, once BF2 & SF are uninstalled.

Install SF (if you have this)

I've already sent a support request to ea support center as stef advised.. hope they will be able to help. I'll post here what they say.
