What settings are you playing on to get 200-300FPS for BF2? From what Ive read even with the 8800 you wouldnt be getting that high on all high
Actually, never having had a sound card before, how would I know?JaMrulezass wrote:

Terrain High
Effects High
Geometry High
Texture High
Lighting Low
Dynamic Shadows Off
Dynamic Light High
Anti-aliasing 2x
Texture Filtering High
View Distance Scale 100%
Still seems awfully high to me, at least according to this. They only offer 2142, but their similar enough. Could be wrong though, dont own an 8800

I don't have an X-Fi myself, but apparently it works fine. There were beta drivers out but I think there are proper drivers out now. Take a look over at Creative.
Why are you running such low settings? That's just daft. Why is lighting low, why are dynamic shadows off, why only 2x AA, why such a shit resolution? Put them all up, it won't drop below 100fps - which the game is capped at anyway.petermassingale wrote:

A lot of people like to use low graphics because you can spot enemies easier or something - which is just LOL! All high ftw, assuming your card can take it.

Its True, turn terain detail down all the way and and bushs pretty much become non existent, funny to see snipers hidden behind nothing, or people crawling along walls in "shadows" that arent there on low, I should know, ran the game on pretty much all low for nearly 2 yearsBertster7 wrote:

Okay new problem. I can play perfectly a game on nearly any server but then everytime, after one round on the server (when the next starts) "there is a problem with your connection"
Then if I try to rejoin the same server it says connection failed please check your network connections and try again.
What's wrong? Can it be fixed?

I run on high settings and I can sometimes spot people behind the crest of a hill simply cause the terrain didn't loa up fast enough, sucks though when I take a snipe at them and the rest of the hill suddenly appears.r2zoo wrote:

On another note, this is what a computer with playable fps (over 20) does to your stats.

So I don't get this. The ReadyBoost memory is built-in inside the computer? I thought it was just for memory sticks etc.

Lol. I have the same processor, 2 gb of 800 mhz ram, eVGA 680i mobo and an 8800 gts 320.
Edit: But I gots meself a Raptor.
