bf2 flickering on load up

when i load up bf2 its fine but if i close it and open it again it opens all flickery and unplayable. if i alt-f4 the game it closes to desktop and my esktop is the same so i have to reboot my comp. this is really getting annoying now as i have to reboot everytime i close bf2 or it will fck up the next time i load bf2.

please please help meeeeeee lol

AMD x2 5000 2.6ghz
7950gx2
xp pro sp2
2gb ram
2x wd raptors raid0 320gb storage

Hi,

has this problem just happened recently? If so, I recommend that you do a system restore to when it last worked fine. If not, does this happen with other games also?

its been happening for a while just getting worse now. i cant see the fan on my gfx card as its on the underneath side lol

thats how i usualy play fb2 so i tried it with the disk and it still does the same

heh you dont have to see it... poke it or feel the airflow on the back side, mine was hot as shit, turned out the fan stopped and my bf2 was flickering before going awol. i gave it a little poke and it started again... fucking shit videocard, i guess i shouldve taken better care of it

it is spinning but not alot of airflow coming through it, i dont realy wanna try to clean any dust of it because i have a 7950gx2 and it looks like it would be awkward

I had the same problem, when i alt + tab'd in-game, then maximised it, it would happen.

I just had to minimise it again, then bring it back up and it fixed it. Try minimizing and maximising it, see if that helps?

nope still does it, my desktop looks at scrambled, i think its my gfx card overheating as its rly hot to touch and it says its running about 68 in game

Get some compressed air and spray the dust out...

Also, try Alt - Tabbing out of the game when it does that..

Press Alt Tab, to get out, then Press it again to get back in.

i dont like doin that either as some times it just comes up a black screen and takes a while to get back into bf2

try the compressed air - my 7900GS's the same. Every few months, my framerate locks at 15> so i just blow on the gfx fan and my fps goes back up to 35/40

I have the smae prob, the flickering thing when i take screen shots, sometomes it does go flickery, sometimes it doesnt, for the alt+F4 That closes any program ^.^ Do it now, i dare ya, lol
