If we are going to demand they change their ways, take into account we better start shipping them food, clothing, medicine, educational materials...

i saw a program on the history channel that might apply to this, the program was about agriculture and its impact on society.
the peoples that didn't have agriculture didnt get past the stone age way of living, simply because they didn't have the necessary surplus of food that the peoples that had live stock and other easy food sources had. that's why people in Europa and northe Africa had iron tolls and huge monuments.
and if a society that lives from hand to mouth, have to raise and take care of people that cant contribute to society then that will be a HUGE burden on that society.

The families don't want the disabled babies.
The governments don't have the programs that are in the Western Countries for disabled babies. (and the western countries are too busy spending money attacking other countries rather than helping other countries)
No one is going to go overseas to adopt a disabled baby (Seriously... did any of the celebrities take a disabled child? No.. they took the cute ones)
So why would they want a life of pain.. a life of watching their offspring suffer..
Most of those children won't live to see the age of 5... because they don't have the proper ways of being cared for... within a few days after birth and breastfeeding a mother is drastically attached to a child (some get attached before they even give birth)
So if it was up to you.. you had a kid... you can either see him suffer and be in pain for 5 years whilst getting attached or you can put him out of his misery right than and there & tell the mother it was a stillbirth... would you really not pick the latter? Think about it.
