well, i think it does. lately i've been getting a lot of "problem with connection" type errors. it started happening as soon as i use wpa encryption over my wireless router. as soon as i disabled the wireless signal completely, i have not seen the "pwc" again. what could possibly be happening with the wireless encrypt that is fuggin up my bf2?
connection speed over a WPA encrypted should be just as fast as an unencrypted one. Maybe an issue with the access point/router

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
my pc is wired with no encryption to the router, but the router also has a built-in wireless antenna broadcasting an encrypted connection. i'm sure it an issue with the router, i'm just wondering if i can fix it. there are no firmware updates for the router, so if there are any other router config tricks, that would be cool.

overheating maybe? My routers (my ISP seems to give me a new Zyxel router every 1/2 year) always dropped connections and did funky stuff until I popped the cover off and stuck a heatsink to the CPU
EDIT: enabling WPA actually fits in nicely into that theory. Extra load of WPA might just be enough to mess up the router. If you wanna run WPA try dropping some other features like DHCP

I was actually thinking about modding a 92mm fan @ 5V onto the top cover. Haven't gotten around to it though.steelie34 wrote:
