BEIJING (Reuters) - North Korea has been cooperating fully with nuclear inspectors monitoring the shutdown of its key atomic complex, the U.N. team said on Tuesday.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) staff arrived in North Korea on July 14 to monitor the Yongbyon nuclear complex, which the North closed as part of a disarmament pact reached in six-country talks in February.

"In doing our actions we had complete cooperation from the DPRK authorities," the head of the IAEA group, Adel Tolba, told reporters at Beijing airport after arriving from Pyongyang, capital of North Korea, or the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Full story right here

Hopefully (and im being optimistic here) Korea is actually working toward disarmement. Personally i think they are just trying to get supplies out of us, but only time will tell

Looks like someone else is cooperating too...

And after extensive searching of the FOX News site I found this tucked away into a very secluded corner...

The question is why now? Both countries have been rock hard on thier nuclear facilities yet know they are bending toward international will. Why?

Fear of UN sanctions doing further damage to their country's society, as they did in Iraq...

Fear of invasion so the USA can spread 'democracy' or fight 'terror'...

Who knows, just leave the poor bastards alone, if the nuclear countries refuse to hold up their end of the NPT why should the other signitaries follow it?
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

North Korea needs food.

Iran needs refined oil.

And yes, the irony of Iran's situation is that they have one of the world's largest oil supplies, but they don't have much refining capacity.

Irony is so delicious. The fact that they both talk big but fall flat on thier faces b/c they need help from the internation community makes me chuckle
