on an unrelated note...

My stats aren't updating, does anyone know why? Also, what's with the two "free" unlocks I just got.  Does anyone know when the new patch comes out?  What's the deal with bunnyhoppers/noobtubers/dolphin divers/c4 chunkers??

ok.. i have a thought or two about this search crap.

1st, im a self proclaimed forum whore. I read forums like some people read news papers. I have more accounts than i can count and at least 12 forums i visit as often as every day or every other day.

I do not use the "search" option.

I dont like it. Everytime ive used it, i spend more time searching through the results than i care to. This is a forum for christs sake, what is it we are supposed to do here? When you click the link your expecting to have to read something or type something out. Its what forums are for. As long as the subject fits the category, it should be fair game.

If we are going to expect admins to enforce this search function, than i think we as a community first need to mature a little more and stop hijacking posts. More than half the time i will read an initial post asking a question or something, but by the end of that post, numerous pages later all that fills it up is spam and trash talk. By the end, the post is so far off topic its rediculous.

Why do i want to do a search thats going to produce 3 or 4 pages of that crap?

Just my 10 cents.

The way I see it, if it bothers you to read the same type of post over and over, don't f##king read it. Simple as

i am normaly captain "use the search" but there was too many gad damn threads for me to post in!

First, yea im a forum whore. But not by your definition. I read posts.. how the hell hard is it to read a damn paragraph or 2. And i like to think that i dont post "useless" or "worthless" replies or topics. Ok, sometimes ill respond with a smart ass comment, or dumb one liner. But go ahead and do your thing.. search my posts. Not too many worthless ones in there.

And second, i dont use the search button, but thanx for refering to me as a twat. If i have a question and put it in the appropriate forum, im gonna feel ok about it. Who's worse, the people who post without searching, or the ones whining about it, posting more than worthless or useless replies.

Count em up and i am willing to bet there are more juvenile worthless replies than there are worthless topics.

The search button should be the last thing worried about when it comes to controlling the forums.

I use the forums for there exact purpose, i dont need you or my "mummy" to tell me how to use them. I posted my opinion on the subject is all. Too bad if you dont like it, get over it. And just becuase i dont use the search button doesnt mean i dont know when a topic has been posted. Im here reading these boards all the time, im pretty smart at 34 years old and can actually manage to remember things, unlike you who needs a script to navigate your way around a forum.

I try not to make pointless replies that say use the search, i'd rather just post the answer and add : "theres plenty of threads about this already, please search next time" at the end.

Or, i'll just let my new sig do the talking.

Make the search button twice as large as it is now and perhaps make it flash it a bit.
