I'm thinking to get the newer Logitech G5 mouse with two side buttons. I'm just wondering what functions did you program into the mouse in bf2? what weight, dpi setting are you using.
I use the rear side button for Vent/TS, the front side button for screenshot, and the middle button for ammo/medic/repair. I use 3 of the heavier weights in the rear most of the mouse and none in the rest.
whilst i dont have the G5 <-- will be soon as soon as umart get there hinds into gear... im using a mx400 which has the 2 side buttons... i use the rear button to switch to 5th pocket of any kit and the front one back to the 3rd pocket (default main gun) also i have it programmed up to switch from driver/pilot (front button) to gunner (rear button) which works really well with soloing in the chopper.. cant wait to get my mitts on the new g5, but for the meantime i can deal with owning it up on AF servers with my cozy mx...
I don't have a G5, but weights seem simple enough to understand. If you need a slow, more accurate move (eg. sniping) then go with the most weights - but if you are going to be in BF2 as Medic or whatever, lightweight should be fine.
I use four of the heavy weights in the centre of the cartriage, helps me fine tune my shots a bit more, and the dpi can be changed on the fly anyway given whatever situation, generally have it on the medium setting tho (no idea what number it is tho ).
dont use weights. and in any case, DONT GO CHANGING THEM 2000 dpi is my default setting, as it should be I dont use the scrollwheel ingame as it sucks. It will randomly scroll up or down and its almost impossible to click the wheel without scrolling.
