Fusion. Remember to put in the ram correctly

truth, it only looks intimidating because there are 47,000 different holes in random places, but you will soon see which ones your motherboard will fit into, the others are for different form factors of motherboard.Scorpion0x17 wrote:
the only tricky part is making sure you've got the stand-offs in the right place (and that's not really all that tricky - at the very most it involves fixing them in place, making sure they line up with holes in the mobo, and correcting them if they don't - and there's a limited number of places you can put them).
It's not that many different holes!

putting together a PC is way easier then you expect. I thought mounting the mobo would be a nightmare, but all the holes had the types of motherboard that used it next to them, so it went alright.
What really was scary was fitting the processor - such a tiny thing, and you have to keep a steady hand while putting it in the socket right. The lever that locks in place took so much force to lock I was actually afraid I'd done something wrong and spent half an hour trying to re-insert my C2D before i finally managed to lock it

I managed to blow up a pc by putting in ram backwards.SargeV1.4 wrote:

Even if i knew what to do i wouldnt do it.
I did one at college but that was a crap thing, not risking it on this baby.

I want to build a PC. I can do everything, except for putting the motherboard into a case. How the feck do you do that?
2. Attach motherboard to stand off bold things
3. ?????
4. Profit!
3.1 unattach motherboard from 'stand off bolt things'.
3.2 put IO shield in place.
3.3 reattach motherboard to 'stand off bolt things'.
Mekstizzle: it really is easy - and if you've got a case with a removable motherboard tray, it's even easier - if you can screw in some screws without putting the screwdriver through the motherboard, you'll be fine - the only tricky part is making sure you've got the stand-offs in the right place (and that's not really all that tricky - at the very most it involves fixing them in place, making sure they line up with holes in the mobo, and correcting them if they don't - and there's a limited number of places you can put them).

Quite a good guide. He uses the same motherboard and CPU as I do!Bell wrote:

And graphics card, CPU and RAM, yea, its nothing like yours Fusion lol Yours would be faster I think, though not sure if a GTS is quicker than two x1900xtx's in crossfireWhite-Fusion wrote:

I get a 404 on that Corsair page.
EDIT: Never mind, BF2s screwed up the link but OCUK had a working link.
