1 vs 1 against good players anything less than headshot will get you killed.
After using the L85A1, and becoming wuite good, when i went for my Sniper veteran, it was so much easier, because of the multi fire of the L85A1 you can enscript in your brain exactly where to shoot...
Now i am slowly getting addicted to dniping, i lol when people are like, OMFG HACKER!!!
I love being a close range sniper more than long sistance, just seem to get more kills...

I always aim for the body and sweep my aim upwards for a headshot... so even if you don't get a headshot with the burst, you've at least put a few bullets in them.

I aim for headshots only if they're prone / not moving.
I go for headshots, that way if i get a headshot,
I can scream "BOOM HEADSHOT" just like i do in Counter-Strike

I'm a Semi-Auto man myself, even with the AK's.
I will always hit the chest of my targets because I know that I'll hit it. I'd rather hit something 4 times with a 80% chance of a hit than 2 times with a 20% chance of hitting the head. (Cuz we all know it takes 2 head shots to kill )

I have to shoot for the head if I don't I will never kill someone in one clip. It doesn't matter if the guy is standing right infront of me not moving, my hit reg sucks so bad that if I don't shoot for the head I will never kill you.
Sometimes I aim for the feet if I know the guy is going to go prone, because as soon as they do they get shot in the head.

Aim for the "neck" with an M16 on burst and you don't need to choose.

You'll find that all the top rated players are deadly accurate and always go for the best hit box (face shot or face stab).
Now that being said someone mentioned that it depends on the server - I am now a believer !!!
I play mostly the same servers anymore since I'm just in it for the laughs (got all the digital bling). In some servers I can kill anything that moves with one or two shots and others, despite ping, I can't kill a ten year old one stripe noob with anything other than a clay - me luvs clayz

really the deviation isn't so bad, so aim for the head and do like a 6 round burst with AKs or one burst with M16
yep, some servers just have bad hitreg, so learn to avoid them, they cause nothing but frustration

It depends on the distance and a couple other things but generally I go for the head with the L85.

headshots are usually better. the L85 doesnt have good deviation but the AK is worse and you can get still incredibly long distance headshots with it. at long distances u can almost never land 4-5 body shots for a kill (unless they are AFK), but one or two perfect headshots can kill from insane distances like 175m if the fog will permit. Bullet drop is pretty slight, it doesnt matter much until you get past 70m or so. Bullet drop is identical between assault rifles and sniper rifles.
Almost the only time that i wouldnt headshot is if time was so limited that i just had to spray and not take the time to further correct my aim. So this happens a bit in close quarters or when trying to kill two people directly after each other on auto. A lot of the time I fire my first burst straight into them and then with the recoil correct so the second burst is a clear headshot. It may seem pointless to headshot second but guns like the m16 sort of encourage 2-shotting.

Sniping, I try for head. Auto I start at body and make my way towards the head.
im pretty sure you dont take damage from teh foot but you do from the ankle up.
The foot most certainly does take damage in bF2 n00b. Don't say things if you do not know the answer for sure... It takes more shots to kill someone by shooting in the foot but it ill kill your enemy. All "body parts", just like with vehicles, deduct a different number of points from your health depending on where you are being hit. So for example a shot in the cheat or head does a lot more dmg then shooting in the leg or arm. BF 2 is realistic in that aspect.LT.Victim wrote:
