What deeply concerns me about this incident is not just that it was friendly fire. It wasn't even just the administration putting the "heroic American warrior killed by the evildoers" spin on it. It's the circumstances of the actual incident. Tillman identifying himself just before being killed. The fact that they burned his gear afterwards. IMO, it doesn't sound like the usual "Our boys don't fuck up" but rather "Our boys didn't murder him and then destroy the evidence". I really feel there's a lot more to this than the average fog of war incident.
