Old People Driving and Talking on Cell Phone While Driving.  What are your thought on this ?

Tonight at 1 am i was driving and like, omg! come!! on! wtf! 2 cars going 7mph UNDER the speed limit for half a mile... finally two lanes for me to pass them. i look over and the first one, it's some nerd kid on a cell phone who doesn't even look over when i pass his ass, and the other car in front of him going the same speed is some old man who i think doesn't even know what kind of car he's driving.. this seems to be happening more and more and the years go on... don't people realize anything when they get passed that maybe they should pay attention or at least do close to the speed limit ? most the time its when I'm in a hurry to get some where, i get stuck behind one of these two types of people.

(nothing against old people but COME ON! your bones aren't going to break if you push harder on the gas! pedal!

I'm sure ill get negative comments since most the people are kids who talk on cell phone and drive slow and swerve into other car while driving on the freeway

Well here in Australia you can't talk on the cell phone while driving, you can't even use a hands-free But you shouldn't be too upset. Your chance of fatality in a crash drops significantly for every kmh or mph you are under the speed limit. Kinetic energy equals 1/2mV(squared), which means doubling your speed will increase your KE by 4 times! That's very painful when you crash.

It´s annoying, to have to drive behind old people, who do not seem to have the competence anymore. i think it would be fair enough, to let elder people make their driving license again, when they have reached a certain age and let them be tested again in short periods, like every two years, when they are older then 70.

As Vub mentioned, mobiles are illegal while driving (but it is only for learners and P's that hands-free isn't allowed).

The old people however, do exist and they are very annoying sometimes. And as tempting as it is, I will not partake in any racist comments in regard to drivers (even though my friend of that ethnicity agrees and says it all the time - ie. "That guy is such a shit driver, I bet he is ......." etc).
