I can’t seem to get any of the patches to install.  My current version of the game is 1.1.2965.  I’m running Vista Ultimate and after it installs it says the same version.  I have tried the 1.3-1.4 incremental patch and the 1.4 patch and it says install complete but when I log on it still shows the older version.  I have tried to install the Tampa version witch said it was successful but obviously can’t be since it needs the 1.4 patch to run.  Can somebody help with why it won’t take? I have run in Administrator mode, rebooted after  ect… and nothing.  I have search forums after forums and found nothing.
I also am having a problem with installing the Booster pack.  IT tells me to use a valid code even though I have one.  I think at one point I might have installed back in XP a year ago and registered it a different account name.  But I can’t remember what it was.  Is there any way of resetting the code?

  Uh yeah, you are going to need the FULL 1.41 patch. 1.4 is an old patch and never ever used incremental, they suck ballz.  Afterwards install highway tampa thingy and play.

So a full list:

Deinstall BF2
(Deinstall SF, if you have it installed)
Install BF2/SF
Patch to 1.41 (FULL VERSION)
Install Highway Tampa
Play.

Where do i find the proper patch?  I download a few different ones and tried them.  Do I need to un-install and restall bf2 with the patch??  If so, how can I save my profile ie. key binding and such.  Thanks again.

The 1.41 patch I have is 536MB and the only one I can find.  They all seem to be the same. IS that the correct one?  If so, I have already tried to install that one.  I have also already un-installed the game, reload bf2 and installed the patch before i did anything else.  The bf2 i have also comes with SF and installs that at the same time.  Could that be causing the problem?  Thanks.

Try running the patch in compatibility mode for Windows XP by right clicking on the icon for the patch, going to properties, then the "Compatibility" tab and then select "Windows XP" from a drop down menu.

I tried that too and nothing.  It driving me nuts.  I know it worked with XP but I remember have to do it twice, same with 2142.  I completely out of options.  I really don't want to un-install and re-install again to find out it did work, again lol

Does anyone have a suggestion getting the patches to work on a Vista PC?  Has anyone successfully done it?  I'm currently using version 1.2965 and I have re-installed the game, downloaded and re-installed the 1.41 patch but nothing works.  It always tells me patch was successfully but when I log in it still says the older version.  Thanks.
