Anyone else have jagged text in the console?  I recently upgraded my computer from a 9800 Pro to a 7800 GT, so I can now up the settings.  I did see this problem with the 9800 Pro, although the game was not very playable with the high settings that seemed to cause this.  See attached screenshot, taken at 800 x 600 for effect.

I had this same problem recently.  It seemed to happen after I deleted my local online account from BFHQ and retrieved it.

(Don't ask!  I think I read somewhere on here that it helped to speed up the account login process.  What that person didn't mention in the post was that it also DELETES YOUR SETTINGS!)

Consequently, I had to re-set all my options, controls, and graphics settings.  Afterwards, the console appeared exactly as yours does now.  I tried tweaking everything in the BF2 options and my graphics card options.  Finally - also due in part to frequent system crashes - I uninstalled and reinstalled BF2.

Guess what?  Problem solved.  It also seemed to help minimize the frequent crashes.  I'm not sure if this was the fix or not.  Your mileage may vary.

Yup, reseting your prefs should solve it.

(If it doesn't, it's GeoEnvi's fault!)

It HAS to be some sort of graphics settings. I have a Viewsonic LCD at 1280x1024 and have the game set to the same native reolution and I still get the jagged text. It only disappeared after I reinstalled some graphics drivers. I changed something in the Advanced menu (Nvidia options) and what do ya know...the jagged text is back. almost seems like the text alignment is off (pixel alignment for text..can't remember what the exact term is for it...maybe?).

The clear text was for all resolutions (not just for native) and only was screwed up when I changed a video card setting. I wish I could remember what it was. I'll screw around with it tonight and check it out.

Looks like Antialiasing in the graphics card driver must be off.  That's the only way I could clean up the text.  Oh well.

I get that on BF2 and other games, as "karen_mcdougal" said I think it's the Antialiasing, it's fine if when I turn it off, but don't use console enough to warrant turning it off
