Xfire problem

Hey, everytime i try and log on to xfire it says "Error connecting to xfire server" "reconnecting in XX minutes XX seconds"
it was working fine before i went away. Now i get that every single time.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a firewall is blocking your access. Or, the lack of a firewall causes Windows to not allow Xfire to connect. Do you have a firewall? Have you recently turned it on or off, or made changes to it?

i have panda. which i dont turn off, the only changes i have made are allowing xfire, which didnt help.

Open file Xfire.ini from Xfire folder.

Add line "PingInterval=180" under header [Xfire].

instead of reinstalling, do a proper uninstall: uninstall xfire via the control panel, and then delete whats left of the xfire directory in program files. Then install xfire again from scratch.
