We all heard some rumors that the stat system being down was a test on the community's reaction. How many people would lose alot of interest in this game without a global stat system?

How many people would lose alot of interest in this game without a global stat system?Doubt it. I think they're just getting rid of all the online support for the titles from sports games of previous years. When the '08 games all come out, they'll drop the '07 games too probably.

Also, why is this in D&ST? lol

People can't play 2006, hadn't bothered buying 2007, so now they buy 2008 for a taste of something new (or so they were promised). Makes good business sense, and typical EA dirty play.
