we run the following maps, not just the city maps rotation:

Karkand - 32
Gulf Of Oman - 16
Jalalabad - 32
Mashtuur - 32
Sharqi - 64
Dalian Plant - 16

makes for a different IO experience, gulf of oman 16 player is pretty fun!!

It should be possible to select "vehicles only" in the filters menu. It is as earlier mentioned, irritating going trough all the I/O if you want to play with vehicles.

Man I haven't loggin to this site in awhile and this is the 2nd post Ive read, and lol I have to disagree completely with the idea of IO being a lack of teamwork.

If you've ever been in an IO server yes there are nade spamers and noobs, welcome to BF2, but the same can be said for tank whores and noobs in All Vehicles servers. Medics and support are running around in INF servers as they are in ALL Veh. servers. Your point to me is well... pointless and using Karkand as a basis for your argument is very weak. A good 1/4 ~ 1/2 of the game is played inbetween default spawn and hotel either of which is covered with either soldiers or tanks at all times, and good players in either server expose the back side of Karkand on MEC side. (which is where the map truly shines)

Now if you were to agrue that IO is redicilous on lets say.... Operation Clean Sweep... I could see a point but as of yet I yawn at your complaint and agree with the others that you need to either start playing a different map, or try a 10-Day free trial of World of Warcrack.

I find I/O kind of fun. But lets get things crystal clear, I also think that I/O was made for pussies chasing high points and scared to deal with a plane, a tank, a chopper and even some jet skis !

Still I find kind of unfair that when you tick the "not full", "populated", "etc..." boxes before updating servers list, you only have the opportunity to select "no vehicles". And what if i want to play WITH vehicles ?!? Why is there no "Vehicle only" box that would ignore all I/O when ticked?

I agree it's a bit annoying to spend 5 minutes ( I'm a little bit exaggerating here!) sorting between servers that show a really good ping but with no players, maps changing each round when your PC is shitty, those that you will loose connexion to and those that look just fine, but you know you'll get kicked for any break in the rules ( Killing someone in his base once in a while is not a baserape! It's helping your team YBON!!! ) .

How can you request to EA or Gamespy or Kim Jun Il to have that "vehicle only" box, because this should be a minimum!

I like IO, i like vehicles, i like IO more. Teamwork does exist in IO, whoever says it doesnt is full of shit. I play for the win, every time, my clan does the same. We're more capable of making the win on an IO server, so we tend to play that more. I find so many other factors contribute to a win on vehicles (primarily artillery and tank/jet/helo whores) compared to the simplicity of squad vs squad (an ideal scenario of course) on IO.

what ever works for you i guess. also im in 100% agreement with the vehicles only option, this should be available.

people seem to think that maps such as dragon valley, gulf of oman, all the air maps are for VEHICLES only, that u HAVE to get in a vehicle when ur on these maps and handheld weapons are absolutely useless, i find playing as infantry on air maps is a lot more fun than goin on inf karkand and spam medic, nades, g36 or ak101, medpac + defribrilator
