Problem:
steam will not show up in the bottom right taskbar, EVEN when it is showing up as an application in task manager.

However, it did work ONCE and only ONCE...i had to leave my computer while i was downloading css. But when i played it, and shutdown my computer when i was done, i got on it the next day. Steam didn't work.

Attempted solutions:
Re-install? didn't work.
Delete all steam files, and re download steam? nup.
Double click CSS instead of source icon? See problem: at top of page.

Anybody help with this massively frustrating dilemma?

Move your mouse over to the start bar;
Right Click and choose "Properties";
Go to "Notification Area";
Hit Customize under 'Icons';
Find Steam and hit 'Show'.

Please note that this is for Vista, however it should be almost the same in XP!

When you expand the list, is STEAM there?
