Well Almost every friking server has that map running and not so fond of jets. also it was a city map and a good one to.

Ive been playin infantry only quite a bit and the only decent servers seem to love running karkand but I play my fair share of other maps...
Yup. I don't play the air maps much because its just a case of dying from aircraft over and over again, and when Inf Only was released with 1.3 i played nothing but that for a long time. And Karkand is a great map for it.

It's all about the ping and the rules of the server for me. Other than that, I'll play any map (though I prefer SF).
It just so happens that most decent ping servers, with decent rules run Karkand. Plain and simple, servers tend to run off of popularity, and Karkand IS popular.

Nope my most play map is Warlord.
Im so glad mine isn't....currently sharqi is main, but warlord is like a few hours behind.

karkand is just the best map to get alot of points in short time. still teamwork is very important. it makes the difference between win or lose. Still I like shongua the most (IO)
