How To Add Custom Tags Tag

1) Open My Documents/battlefield 2/Profiles/Global

2) Then in the Second Line, Add Your Custom Tag, and when you add it, make sure to add Between the Quotes.

3) Then Save and Start Up BF2, and the Tag Should Show up in the BF2 Log in Screen.

in bf2 you cant add the "{" but if you add it thru notepad, you can have the "{", duh...

I have two extra .con files, one has my clan tag in it (which uses the 'illegal' < & > characters) and the other has a blank tag. I made batch files that replace the Global.con file with the appropriate file. That way if I want to play BF2 I run my batch file and it copies the file with my clan tag to Global.con. If my friend plays he runs the other batch file that copys the blank tagged file to Global.con. Both batch files then start ATItool (which keeps my x1950 from frying) and then BF2 with the appropriate -playerName -playerPassword -restart options.

If any of you have a brother/sister/friend in a different clan you might find it useful to do it that way too.
