Bonds is the best in the Steroid Era. It is naive to assume just one player used performance enhancing drugs. There are probably players that I support who use steroids and/or other performance enhancing drugs. They just haven't been caught yet. As far as I'm concerned, Bonds has already been caught through his trainer and nutritionist. Guilt by association, I guess.

-any substance that is illegal for you and me to buy shouldnt be used by anyone, especially a major leaguer regardless if baseball tested for it or not during the juice years
Are sports a matter of life and death? No. Does it matter to me when someone cheats? Yes. Cheaters like Barry don’t deserve to receive the same credit that those who legitimately win and/or set records have earned. Bonds and anyone else who has used steroids in sports are a disgrace. Period.
Even setting aside the allegations of steroid use, I’d rather have a nice guy break the record. Being a jerk when you’re a role model to so many young kids is ridiculous. If you make millions of dollars per year playing any type of game, you should be able to muster a smile and civil attitude until you climb onto the bus. Gone are the heroes of my childhood who honored the legendary players of the past. They’ve been replaced by steroid users and pricks who are far too self absorbed and blinded by the bling around their necks.

k good thing someone posted this thread, Ill apply this bf2 analogy to the bary bonds. For example lets say you are phenomenal three star general rank player, but you used to play knife and pistol servers to become the worlds number one ranked player in battlefield 2. This does not mean that you are bad player considering that you used to play knife and pistol servers a lot to help you become number. Besides other people may consider you the best because you are so good on foot with your AK.
This same concept applies to Bonds, if he did steroids to help him break the record it does not mean that that he was not a great player before he used them, he won couple of golden gloves before being involved with the steroids he was also considered a MVP in two straight years. All I'm saying is that you cant judge one guy's WHOLE career and state he is fluke because he used drugs. Maybe he did use the drugs intentionally or unintentionally but overall he still is a great player.

The media are a bunch of assholes too!! He is no prize, but when you have everybody (reporters etc.) picking on you constantly, you would be a tad irritable as well. I dont blame him for being an ass to the media, they are a bunch of pricks. However I wont stand for the way he has treated fans in the past, or the way he has polarized his teammates (i.e. Jeff Kent, and Mark Sweeney).
Btw the Giants blew the series in 02'. . . . six outs left, a 5-0 lead in the 7th inning, and a 3-2 lead in the series itself!! Absolute worst choke in World Series history bar none!! They had the dressing room tarped with plastic and the Champagne on ice waiting for the Giants for christs sake!!! I am still pissed about the debacle that was our "relief" pitchers late in that game!! Not too mention Dusty Baker's inability to properly use his pitching staff all season(s) long!!!
AGAIN! Regardless if he took steroids since 1999 or 2000, he was the best player in baseball before that!!! He is an amazing talent, and probably the best hitter to ever play the game no question. . . . He just will be plagued by cheating for the rest of his days. Our society likes to claim they support innocent until proven guilty, when it is actually the opposite they feed off of!!
