as the title says every time i parachute off a building in karkland i die, i hit 9 my 9 works, am i jumping off building that are not high enough or something?

Try pressing "9" a couple of times, just spam it basically, it doesn't always open on the first go alternatively change your parachute key, I use "x" as it is easier to hit. Hope that helps

There are just some buildings that are plenty high enough for the parachute to deploy, but it just won't work. I don't know why. Just remember which ones they are and don't jump off of 'em.

i changed left alt to windows key and parachute to left alt and abolutely abuse it with thumb when jumping

could be that you dont hit the parachute button enough, as has already been said. It could also be that when you jump off a building your falling to close to the building or in an alleyway and sometimes the chute wont open then. Or as you said, your not jumping off of very high buildings, lol

Simple observation: You cannot pull the parachute unless your gun goes away. The exception to the rule is if you try to pull the parachute in an alley.
This tip increases the lifespan of your 9 key.
Some people made a tweak here to set it to space (share with jump). I reckon that's the best but I still use 9 from my 1942 days.

I have it on my mouse scroll, and its true it wont open in alleys or if you click 1 time on "wrong" place...
Make sure you not jumping in too crowded spaces, the chute cant open if its next a building.
Ive realized this is pretty much the answer... you need a certain height, and enough room for the cannopy to open. I notice pretty much everytime it doesn't work you are too close to a wall or building.JET_G raidensen wrote:

Also remember that keyboards limit the number of inputs, so if your running, jumping, moving forward and strafing it might not pick up that your crouching and hitting the parachute key....try and press the parachute key by its self.
You are either hitting 9 too early(it won't deploy till you've fallen a certain distance) or you are trying to deploy in alleys that are too narrow.

That's not true that you need time for the canopy to open. I jumped off of a 8 foot wall and when I was about 1 foot off the ground I got my parachute to open and I didn't take any damage. It doesn't matter how low you open your parachute as long as it actually does open.VicktorVauhn wrote:

change your parachute key to spacebar. It works wonders, trust me.
My best advice is to get a mouse with many buttons. I have a logitech mx 500 and i have issued the parachute to one of the thumb buttons. And it never fails me. I rarely fail to open my chute (unless it's a terrible lag). Further on i agree with the others. Make sure you have enough space to open the parachute and don't jump off buildings lower than your penis.
