If u look up stats of our top ten players, then u will notice that their KD ratio with shotguns is under 1.0 .
But not only them, I only know a few ppl out there who has a better KD than 1.0. Very strange I mean u can own so much with that gun, especially in IO servers. Personnaly I fucked up my KD cause my tnoobish period took a lot of time, but still I have a KD of 1.6. Im not proud of it, Im just curious.

Probably because you don't really "own" that much with shotguns, because they suck at anything further away than the length of a tank?
Or because you use the superior MP7 and P90 unlocks when playing engineer and AT respectively?

because alot of people i think do not use the egineer kit that often; not to mention that the landmines are worthless in an IO servers, so are their wrenches as commanders usually supply drop on their broken assets, plus egineers have little armour. but there are few odd handfuls that i see use shotgun in IOkarkand. i only use it when i am really really bored or want to show them snipers something "up close and personal"

If you don't have good hitreg shotguns are infuriating.

Try beating a good player on IO when 1/3 shotgun shots do no damage from 1 foot away.

I'd guess he used the shotguns a lot when he was a beginner and got a bad KDR. Then he used the unlocks.

Autos suck (well the S12K and MK3A1 anyway), pump actions are so much more fun and P90 > DAO.

Shotguns own in IO, especially the M117 or w/e. Just shoot the back edge of your target. It's just that you have to get close, and to get close you have to run through the gaymores/nades/medicwhores.

I find that the shotguns are the best for IO. The pump-action if you are taking on lots of people, or the jackhammer for 2-3. And the AT kit with the DAO is one of the best kits for IO - being insta-killed with a rocket is every medic whores worst nightmare, and the DAO pwns in CQC.

And my shotgun stats:

144:15:25 6,212 3,441 1.8053 13.06%

Misses out on beating assault rifles as my favorite weapon by 25 minutes.
