If you want to do that in a match fine, but i dont see why you cant just tell your team in TS about the guys instead of blocking out all sound.

a.Dogs, i used to play with em, but they rock too much for me since i bought a life
Nope and I don't really want to.
♥
And...I'd sacrifice ability to hear in order to see the player's exact location on the minimap.. Hearing gives you an estimation at the least.Miguel diaz wrote:

You'll never get away from the noise in competitive gaming..
Take 4v4 fbf no commander inf for example:
In the beginning of the round you spot like crazy.
During the round you spot like crazy.
You don't ever stop spotting like crazy.
If you don't spot you won't get their exact location..I would spot like crazy when I played in Clanbase and ESL.

I'm currently in a clan and we're "supposedly" starting TWL, but our "leader" isn't very "leader"-like, and I'd like to play competitively...

but all you have to do is 4 spots..teddy..jimmy wrote:

in pubbing these people are doing 16-32 spots, on people in plain site, when i command i spot 1 of the 4 man squad going to train accident and say "4 going for train" its that easy.
But the squad members and the people that are not in squads don't hear that. This way everyone knows exactly where they are.
sorry, i type that. And generally people either go to train or spawn there when they die, unless i have a bad team.=6thAD=KJ43 wrote:

no problem. I'm certainly not trying to get in an argument about it. It sounds like you are willing to trade having less information for your team to work from against "not being able to hear".
I've played under the best comp commander in the game that I know of and there is never any problem with hearing what you need to hear. The map on the other hand is like one huge uav and the whole team knows exactly where every part of the other team is.
Like I said, if I'm pub commanding I'll spam spot less in consideration for people like you who want less information. But if I'm lucky engough to have more than one squad pushing flags I'll give the most important flag/objective the uav and spam spot for the other squads so they have their own little uav. In a firefight there isn't time to tell a squad "there is one guy behind the wall and another there and (so on)". By giving them all the dots they can make much quicker decisions on what to do and how they want to do it.
I hear you...I just don't agree with you. I'll still compromise for people like you anyway (cuz I'm a nice guy like that).

but meh
thank you, when i command i only point out important enemies because it is more difficult for my team to fight if they cant hear. i dont like spot spamming of AFK enemies defending their back bases where nobody is.=6thAD=KJ43 wrote:

why do i get the feeling youve never played in a competitive ladder.Undetected_Killer wrote:
Nah. It's all about the fun, and if you play competitively, that takes the fun out of it.
clan wars are awesome. on pubs all people care about is what they can do to get the highest score possible. if thats means all spawning as sniper and refusing to cap flags, theyll do it. in clan wars youve got tactics, specialised roles etc and it gets your heart thumping EVERY TIME. i know i never feel like that in a pub game.
Im currently in a bf2 16vs16 ladder team and a 2142 10vs10 team and have been scrimming for almost a year, and it increases the longevity of the game.
