is the new euro force an expansion just as SF or is it like a mod??? i would like to know if it cost money or not?
its basically just adding on to bf2. adding 1 new army, and new vehicles and guns for them. kinda like SF did. and yes it will cost money, around $10 i think...
ok thx so its waste of money..
no, i dont think its a waste of money, its only 10€/10$ and since it goes in the original mapcycle if u dont have it u'll be kicked everytime an euroforce map is loaded
it might be, but i get a lot of extra money from working so im gonna get it. only $10.
The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it's downloadable only. If I'm going to pay $10 for something, I wan't a hard fucken copy.

making it download only means EA dosent have to worry about production costs, those sly bastards...
besides, it is the age of broadband, if you have dial up, and play bf2, please go shoot yourself for having a high ping.

WTF?! It's download only?! Well phucking phuck, am I supposed to download that from EA's overloaded servers then at 20kB/sec bitratekrazed wrote:

Just like the damn patch when it came. Couldn't play on any servers because it was missing and downloading it from EA would take forever and barely no other site had put it up yet. Ended up downloading it from an torrent side. Warez is the shit
I have heard rumors that we will be able to buy a download code in regular shops here in germany, to comfort those who don't have access to a credit card.
btw, one full new army ( including new vehicles and a MBT ) and 2 ( 3 ? ) new maps ? It think it's worth it...

The download card is gonna be availible in Australia too apparently. Also it's meant to only be a 360mb download so unless it installs as it downloads, you can just burn it.
By download only is the biggest shit i have ever heard. there would be only a few of all players that would do that.. prolly most of the players dont even have a credit card or w/e. EA can suck my balls.. E can suck the left and A can suck the right
The game is rated T for Teen, and they're making it download only... and payment by credit card... online...? Genius.
in ebgames in aus you can pay for it and you get some pin number i think.
are those EA servers fast and are they secured? cuz i dont trust teh download thing i prefer the disk cuz what happens is your computer crashes they you gotta pay again for it thats bullshit..... i would like a disk i would buy it for 25 euro or 30 i dont care i just prefer cd but if i got no choise and will get booted every game i will have to download it.......

Sorry...but I think downloadable content is the way forward. Steam hit the nail on the head and now others are rushing to follow.
If it allows me to have legal copies of stuff for cheaper, I'm game. Only downside is you CANT burn to a disc..something I tried the other day when I reformatted my PC...Burnt the BF2: SF installer and all associated files to DVD then found I cant install it from that and have to download it again...bit of a drag but...it worked..
As for the expansion...I'll give it a couple of weeks maybe after it comes out before I play...
I mean people say SF was a waste of money...I'm quite happily playing Surge and Ghost Town over and over..IMHO SF was worth the money just for those two maps!

Which is it, euro's or Dollers? very big difference, if its 10 euro's then its not worth it. if its ten bucks then maybe.

as you can see, there is an online-shop in germany selling it. Don´t know what exactly they are selling, box or access-code.
it will be around 10 euro.

For those who don't know or jump to conclusions...
If you are a teen and have no job or credit card ask your parents to go to the local bank and purchase a gift credit card. The price of E/F is $9.99 US dollars. Therefore, a ten dollar gift card will be good.
As for "download only" you will not have to pay again for E/F if you reformat your hard drive. The booster pack comes with a key. It's a bit of a pain to redownload it again but if you're reformating your hard drive all the time... maby you need a new computer.
I think the download thing is great and convienient.
Shoot, you don't even need your parents to get you a gift card. For $9.99 I'm sure your parents could go out on a limb and just get it for you. I may be old school but if your parents got you a computer, I'm sure ten bucks is nothing. I never got a computer when I was a kid.
I hope this helps a bit and... yes, please use "search"

well, steam wasn't liked much among gamers when it first came out, but I believe it has proven to be quite successful. If legal downloadable content means games can be sold cheaper, I am in.
another advantage of steam: it will keep all your games up-to-date, you never have to worry about wether you've got the right version or not.
downside is payment method. not many kids here in germany do have access to a credit card. Hell, I am 30 and never felt the need to get myself one. selling download keys over the retail chain sounds like a valuable alternative though. It is cheaper than classic hardcopies, but customers can still hold on to something.
release date is supposed to be the 16.02.06, btw, here in germany.

Yes, in Germany, it comes with a nice package to put at your rack ;-)

I can just see all the site with hacked versions for download...its gona destroy the game from the inside out
I think this is great.
#1, obviously if you pay for it you can download it however much you want. EA isn't that bad to say, "haha, your computer screwed up, not our fault"
#2, Convenient
#3, Worth 10 dollars but not worth 10 euros? OHHHHHHHHH, that extra $1.00-1.50 is killer. Looks like no more early retirement for me.
AND FINIALLY, #4, Paying by credit card ensures the fewest 12 year olds possible. I couldn't be more happy about this. Don't get me wrong, there are some very very good young players but there are many more bad ones. This will keep these players to a minimum.
Edit: Sorry, just checked it. The Euro is at 1.19 US right now. Not only will this mean no early retirement but your family won't be able to eat for a week. I mean, come on now, what kind of family can afford $1.90.

wahhh wahhh. If you cant afford $10, or cant find a credit card for $10, or cant get over the idea of spending $10 on something and not getting a box, then DONT FUCKING PLAY IT. I think the chances are if you cant download Euroforce then you are younger than 12 and im glad you wont be online.
