OMFGHAXLOLFAIL....

I ordered a Club 3D HD 3870 card few weeks ago.... cancelled due to delay. FAIL. (arriving sometime next month and probably sold-out on pre-orders)
I ordered a Sapphire HD 3870 Full retail a week ago because I cancelled the orded of Club 3D to get my Sapphire card 29th of this month. FAIL (the hole shipment to Finland was somehow (???) cancelled and no idea when the cards arrive. if they even arrive ever....)

so WTH I'm going to get? save my Christmas and help!!!

AND 8800gts 512mb launch delayed till 14th December???? just my luck......

You should be able to get your hands on an 8800gt in early december

the 8800gts 512mb is a lot more expensive than the 3870/8800gt, not sure if you'd want to spend that much

also, the 8800gt is a better card as far as performance goes, compared to the 3870

the thing is... I wanted to go with one HD 3870 and crossfire later because I have x38 motherboard. if I get a single 8800GT.... I could only use one....
I might be able to pay 300-350 MAX atm on single gfx card. and that's why I planned to go crossfire later when I get few bucks more..

not necessarily. the 8800gt is listed for 280 on newegg, and the new gts is supposed to be priced around 300-350. in reality, you will prob see the new gts in a month at around 375 or so, and the gt will be about 220 by then. it's all speculation at this point; your best bet is to wait it out and be patient.

Yeah for the base model, look what happened with the GT, EVGA is at $300 for the top model. Most likely it will be closer to $400

The $300 model will be an MSI stock or something
