How does it perform and how do you think COD4 will run on it
very well, nearly the best card of the DX9 series ... bearing in mind tho it's only DX9, so some newer games may end up not supporting it, or the money could be spent on an 8800GT which is DX10 ...
It's one of the best 7th gen cards and will do nicely in BF2 despite the fact it's been around for a while now.
ya i kind of figured that, look what i foundmitch212k_2 wrote:

its almost 100$ cheaper, it takes 2 weeks shipping though
I am running 2 x 7950 in sli. I have the XFX Overclocked edition fanless with heat pipes. Runs the COD4 demo good. Just not DX10. I bought the first one when it was $500 on Newegg, then a year later I bought another for $250 on newegg

COD4 runs medium-high on my 7900GTO (512mb)
somedays it can be a little choppy, but it usually runs good

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
I have a BFG 7950GT OC (512 MB)
It runs BF2 on maxed settings @ 1680 x 1050 and CoD4 on medium-high settings @ 1680 x 1050. Excellent card!

I run a solid medium on COD4 with an XFX 7600GT, a few steps below the 7950, so you should easily be able to keep up with COD4, my 7600GT played Crysis easily(not on the bes tsettings mind you) so a 7950 is a great card, especially since their coming closer to what I paid for my 7600GT a few months ago.
