Hi!
I have shitty processor Intel Celeron 2,4 Ghz. If id update it to Intel Pentium 3.0Ghz how big win it is for me? I dont have lag in 16 players but in 32 it is laggy. It mean i want to know how much 3,2 pentium is better than 2,4 celeron....

Well it would help you out out a good bit, but why not get one of the newer processors? You can get some serious performance for a good price right now.

2 gigs of ram compared to 1 would make more of a difference than that processor. (im assuming you have 1 or less gigs of ram)

How much money do you have to spend? I'm sure the techies would give you some decent deals if you told them

uh wut? Core2's are made on socket 775. its the most current intel socket type, core 2 will work in there without a hitch so long as your MB has the 945 chipset or higher, and if not well, you can pick one up for 50 bucks or so. ddr2 is insanely cheap right now as well http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php? … Technology

No that's the old socket 775, Core 2 Duo and Quad uses LGA775 socket. There's also the FSB speed that has to be takin into account, if a board is as old as the old socket 775, it wont support most of the Core 2 Duo's FSB (assuming you dont pick a 4xxx but hey, thats a new socket too -.-)

all socket 775 mobos are LGA and indentical pin-out wise, but won't support some FSBs and voltages

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

A lot of old motherboards would need a (currently non-existable for a lot of cases) BIOS update for Core 2s to work.

Thread creator - what motherboard do you have and we'll check out if it is Core 2 compatible!
