1.  Hooray, the site's back

2.  Mods, if this is in the wrong forum, please move it to the one you think it fits best.

The TV I have in my room is currently going to shit (built in DVD player broke and I'm getting random color blotches on it) so I'm looking to get a new one.  I've done some research, looked at some in the stores, but it seems that I can't find two reviews that say the same thing or consistency from TV to TV.
Here's what I'm looking for and hopefully you guys can help me get the most for my money:

$500-$800
HD Flatscreen
Does not need a built in DVD player.
28-32 inches

Any help will be much appreciated.

Phillips Plasma looks sharp. Black Friday sale  price for a 42" was like $1500.00 @ Wal-Mart. Dell has the same price. Almost bought one for me-self. BestBuy / Circuit City had good prices on the Sharp Aquos LCD's.

Anyway.. to the OP, are you looking for a particular Brand, or just any that fits your criteria?
