Alright, after careful observation of the facts, i have come to the conclusion that the belief that the M16 loses 20% of its damage every time you pull the trigger is the result of people reading something and failing to understand it (epic failure).

What was meant is that 30 is around 80% of 36 and 38, not that the M16 would lose damage as it shoots

Dice can't code a gun without making it massively overpowered or weaker than a bb gun, why would you think they'd put such a complicated process just to weaken one of the main guns?

30-6= 24
24(.20) = 4.8
24-4.8 = 19.2

30+24+19.2= 73.2.

Armored targets health is 150 when shot at chest(The most common area) 100 at ligaments, An 3x damage multiplier in the head.
Unarmored targets health is 100 at chest and legs, And same 3x damage multiplier.

so 73 x 2 = 146 Not enough to take down an armored target but enough for an unarmored. And 73 x 3 = 219 enough to kill armored target.
Where this fails is as US medic you will always face people who can kill you in 3 shots faster then you can kill them with 3 bursts.
Case in point. AK101 37 damage, AK47 38 damage, RPK-74 35 damage, G3 40 damage, Etc etc.

This is also why i dont touch the m16a2 as medic. Too easy to get killed by Support, AT, and Assault. I prefer the g36e because it is the great equalizer.

If you dont believe me find an empty server get a friend and both go as assault.

M16a2 = 3 bursts to the chest at point blank, Or 5 shots on Semi auto. Against armored targets.
Famas = 2 Bursts, 5 Semi auto.
G36e = 2 Burst, 5 Semi auto.
G36k = 2 Bursts, 6 Semi auto.
Hk53a3 = 2 Bursts, 6 semi auto.

its 5 shots to the chest with the M16
5 - 6 = -1
this means that 5 is less than one
as such, two bursts, which fires six bullets, fires enough bullets to kill someone, which only requires five

you got to be kinding me....what fps game has a weapon that does less damage for every shot you take. well even if this is true i am not bothered as i use the m16a2 for pure long range fighting only on semi.

I use the G36E. Aim, double tap trigger, and the two bursts will kill anything.

I get pretty much "nice aimbot reaper" more often now than I used to using any other weapon, and because it is so overpowered I play nother but medic.

Self healing class + over powered weapon = a medal on most maps that don't have jet whores.

I still hate medic bastards, even though I am one.
