Tired of your cross hairs jumping around with the slightest movement of your mouse? Is it difficult to zero in on the heads of enemies with your sniper rifle? Do your AT missiles hit the floor from improper movement thanks to your mouse? Does that bunny hopper with the DAO-12 jump circles around you, leaving you dead and angry?

If the answer is yes to anyone of those questions, then a Microsoft mouse equipped with Precision Booster will save your skin and fellow players' skins. The Precision Booster enables users to have a slower cursor at key moments. Making head shots and homing in on tank tracks easier with an increased boost in precision.

One mouse I recently received for my b-day was the Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (corded for infinite "ammo"). The software that comes with it allows you to program all your mouse's buttons, which would be impossible in BF2's controls section. My current set-up: left and right click are fire. Magnify button is scope/alternate fire. Scroll wheel is Precision Booster activator.

This is a blessing for us sucky snipers and terrible TV-missilers. Well, at least know what a TV missile is.

So THAT'S what it does..

I've got it on my mouse, but never thought of ever trying it out.

I will at some point, though. Now that I've read this post.

So it just drops the mouse sensivity?

I've got buttons for adjusting sensivity on my MX518 aswell, and they sure are great!

I just never use leet functions in leet übergaming precision mice, so I didn't know.

Hell, I refuse to spend more than 30€ on a mouse

I don't snipe, I don't get in choppers, and I need all the motion I can get when sitting atop tanks. Sniping helps not up there, you're either firing full auto or paging around to scan for infantry.

I got a MX 518 too.  bought it cos I thought the adjustable sensitivity would make a big difference,  found out it just being a decent mouse was all I needed.  I can now shoot at moving targets. yay!!
