Can somebody tell me why when i am playing, suddenly the game close and i'm on my desktop....... 

It is appenning around 5 times a week.  I put my geforce 5700 256 mo graphiq card driver up to date and i 

have 1.5 gig memory and all my video setting are at low .   Ty in advance......

Check your RAM-settings in bios. Try to rise up your latency.
e.g. 2.0 -> 2.5 or 2.5 -> 3.0.
Most crashes of bf2 caused by memory leaks, the other of wrong gfx driver.
Second: keep older, clear running driver, new is not the best.

Sounds like you are aiming a little low

I would try and play with the medium settings, weird as it sounds i noticed a serious performance drop off at low settings on my system

p4 3.7
2g pc4400 ddr
256 6800 ultra

Secondly try turning shadows and real time lighting off

Lastly check your drivers again, since i got the newer forceware drivers i havent locked up or CTD'd even once

Agreed! i had a friend who also saw a considerable increase in FPS and general performance after he up'ed his video-settings...

The most common problem for games closing is that your virtual memory is to low try deleting unused programs off your hard drive or possible reformating it but if your to lazy like me than defraging it will work for a while

For now, i try everything we spoke before.............   the only thing i didn't try yet is the weird thing- increase my video adjustement........
