Nah seriously, just relax is the key. Look at what everyone else is doing and emulate them, that's what I did all my high school dances. (Don't stare at them, just out of the corner of you eye, otherwise your girlfriend with think your weird).

well, if it's formal dancing, you're probably screwed, but then again, I would criticize your lack of preparation. After all, formals aren't so uncommon in high schools, huh ?
I would have espected you to be ready, especially considering you have a girlfriend.

if it's free-for-all, which seems to be the trend these days, simply do whatever move you feel most comfortable with. Dancing is all about expressing yourself. As long as you enjoy yourself, you'll be fine. The important stuff is the slow dance anyway, and everyone can do that..
