Hello, I had posted this on the temp forums and then what do you know you guys got this one back up. Here is what i had asked on the othere forum.

Hello my name is xxBLACKENEDxx and i am new to these forums so please forgive me if i am doing something wrong. I have read the ruls and belive im doing this correctly. I have a problem. My microphone mutes itself everytime i click join server for battlefield 2. Anything else i try for example, Teamspeak or Xfire, windows sound recorder works fine. This only happens while i join a server on BF2. I have messed with allot of settings, updated drivers, disabled this disabled that and nothing works. I am running on a Pentium D 3.2 duel core CPU, 2GB DDR ram, Nvidia Geforce 7600 512mb AGP Graphics card and My sound card is a Sound Blaster Audigy. The onboard sound is disabled all my settings are correct for anything i could ever use. The only problem i have is soon as i join a server it mutes my microphone. This is very annoying especialy while using teamspeak because i have to alt tab out of the game and unclick mute in the sound settings everytime i join a server. I have googled this problem many many times and it seems that it has happened to many people and nobody has a solution. Im just asking for a little help resolving this problem. Any help will be greatly aprieciated. Thanyou!!!

Reply from Nappy .......
wow thats a weird problem, ive never heard of that

i cant even think of where to start as you have already updates drivers and everything,

maybe disconnect your soundcard and use the onboard see if it still happens with that?

Reply from Havok .....
Well, I don't know how to fix this, but I discovered a work-around (for TeamSpeak anyways).  Start up TS and click 'Settings' and then go to 'Key Settings'.  Click the box that says 'Add', select the box that says 'toggle', and then select 'mute microphone'.  Then, set a key combo such as the minus key (or something you don't use that often).  With this set up, you can just press the minus key in game and it should unmute your microphone for you.  I'm not certain this will work but it should at least provide a temporary fix.

My second reply.....
thanx but it doesnt mute me in teamspeak it mutes my mic. in the windows sound setting down near the clock or in control panal

Happens to me too.

I tried the external BF2 mic test, and it still doesn't pick it up.
