I wonder if the Republicans were to have a smack down then who would win?

Thompson: Too lazy
McCain: Old
Paul: Also old
Huckabee: Maybe, if he was as fat as he used to be then yes
Guliani: He looks pretty sickly to me
Romney: Yeah, most likely him

Well Romney certainly just put the smack down on Guliani. Guliani looked like a deer in the headlights. Mitt is by far the best debater I've seen on both sides. He is very Bill Clinton'esque in his oratory skills.

No I mean in an actual FFA cage match. And not a scripted one, make it so that they are actually fighting each other and they haven't already decieded ho will win.

I've been watching for about twenty minutes now.  Aside from showing a Ron Paul ad, they've completely ignored him.  What gives?

To hell with cages, I say we build a thunderdome. Instead of elections, the two candidates fight.

Wow, Republicans really lost it on that one.  They're already arguing over they're records and specifics that no one can prove or argue for or against in a 2 minute argument.  I can't even stand to think what the general election is going to be like.

Ron Paul ftw though.

It's about that time . I'm guessing you haven't been paying attention to the Dems.. they have been going for blood over Hillary's record for some time now. Obama and Edwards teamed up 2 debates ago to bring her down... and it worked to some degree.

So, how did Paul fare against the others?  I'm hoping his rising funds have allowed more people to notice and possibly support him....

Anyone care to declare the best of the candidates for that round?

Stopped paying attention to the Dems TBH.  It will be a miracle if anyone besides Hillary gets nominated.

I hate Hillary about as much as I hate the Republican candidates (cept Paul of course).  Another shitty election and shitty president, coming up.  I have high hopes for Paul but as always the consistent and honest politicians will go unnoticed.  Personally I think Paul won the debate, but I guess thats what I'm supposed to say.  There sure were a lot of boos aimed at him from the audience.

And WTF is up with the youtube crap.  Bill Maxwell wrote a great article in the St. Pete Times about how we should become more serious and demanding of our debates. Not the exact opposite, which is what I think these Youtube debates are helping accomplish.

Its a sad time in American politics.  Sadder than usual, I mean.

I know how you feel, Spearhead.  I just hope it doesn't end up as Hillary vs. Romney.  At this point, I'd rather have Guiliani in there than Romney, and I feel about even between him and Hillary.

Either way, Paul will be getting my vote unless Bloomberg actually makes a serious go at the presidency.  Even then, I might still go for Paul.

LMAO, check this out

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/debate … _q1=cand_5

Ron Paul won in every single category except for "most disappointing", according to users who voted.  I also read a rumor about in the yahoo poll or something both of the two questions asked were "Who won", so people picked Paul for both.  Then they changed it later, so one would be best and the other would be worst, without changing the votes.  If thats true (no way we'll ever know), than I am convinced that theres an anti-Paul conspiracy going on among the Republicans.
