*cough* the men got slain - and the women had a nice "let´s get raped!"- experience. That´s what dutch protection is all about?Bernadictus wrote:
With all due respect to the Srebrenica families. But they have stepped over the line now. If we had not been there at all, they would have all been slain by the Serbs. They are only after the money i.m.h.o.
Mladic and Karadzic will have to face the war crime tribunal, when they get caught. Don´t simplify the topic by your monodimensional patriotic rant.Bernadictus wrote:
What? Go look for them yourselves instead of burdening our country with your problems, or sue the Serbian government for all I care.
Facts:
1. The civilians were in an UN safe zone, under protection of dutch troops. The dutch were allowed to protect this zone with military force by UN resolution 836.
2. The dutch didn´t had the balls to defend themselves and the civilians and bought their safety, by betraying those who needed their help.
3. over 8000 men and boys got systematically killed. Grandfathers, Fathers and their sons. countless women got raped.
The dutch were there and could have make a difference. Instead they drank with Mladic:

I do not say, that the dutch troops could have beat the serb forces, but they could have defend their position, so there wouldn´t have been a political motivated solution to bring the troops home safely. If they would have started fighting, they would have get air support. Instead they did nothing, but being glad, they got their asses out there alive.
Sure you can´t demand others to die for the safety of civilians - but don´t expect others to give respect to those who ran away.
dutch army = fail
(and those cowards even got a medal for sneaking away: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6207254.stm )
