Not just make you angry every now and then. But a sort of person that every time you hear them state something, or just thinking about them makes you want to go on a rampage and massacre 30 little babies in a pre-school.

The sort of person who makes me want to do this every single time is a creationist. And especially a creationist that tells you that you're going to hell because you have more common sense then him and don't believe in his junk teachings. Great, you feel the need to believe in something that is similar to the daydreams I had when I was 8. Well guess what maggot, I don't so stop trying to push your religion down my throat.

one example of my aforementioned hate is right here at this fuckstain. Even the way he introduces the episode with the smug look on his face.

I just don't like it because he's throwing away all scientific views on evolution, just because a book once said that God made the world....That and most people like him (incoming stereotype) try to make you believe in their beliefs as well, and get uptight if you don't.

Look objectively at the evidence for both sides. Many creationists use faulty evidence. However, evolution from bacteria to today's world is hardly fact either. There are still gaping holes on both sides, just scientists are better at filling the holes in evolution in periodically.

This is true. However, most scientists believe in the theory of evolution because its based on scientific evidence, not the "word of god". I doubt that there are many scientists who would actually try to fill the holes within the concept of genesis and young earth creationism.

It's hard to look objectively at evidence that's derived from a book written thousands of years ago before man had any way of understanding the fundamental forces of nature.

Shakily how? Sure the details need some ironing out, but a lot of that theory makes sense and is a whole helluva lot easier to take than the young earth creationist concept of the beginning of life.

Personally, I accept evolution like I accept the big bang-- it's the best theory for the evidence we have.

That was my ultimate point...both sides can't argue based fully off facts, and won't listen to each. Thus, no one will win.

Like most fields of science, there are phenomena that are unexplainable with the evidence and current understanding. This is why I say that evolution is the best theory given the current evidence and understanding of the subject. Given that the fossil record is known to be incomplete, and the environment of the time may have destroyed some of the chemical evidence, it is difficult to know exactly what happened. But given that many of the principles of evolution have been observed and accepted, this hardly invalidates the theory.
