I hate people who assume things with no prior justification. In that case, I'm guilty, I've made assumptions about many things in my time. Normally I try to avoid it or catch myself in the act and realise what a dick I'm being. Similar to people being uninformed about a situation, yet striding in to the middle of it casting aspersions and accusations around like a lunatic. Something which I am also guilty of. Noahs flood covered the surface of the earth. That means, to cover mt everest, the water level would have to have risen 8km. So, the entire earth got an 8km layer of water on it, a layer which appeared and disappeared in less then 6 weeks. Right.
And he wants to know "Was the grand canyon built up over millions of years or worn down over millions of years?" The answer is BOTH, you dumbass. The earth is 4.6 billion years years old, a few million to make a canyon isn't a huge amount of time.
He then says that noahs flood on earth is creationalist crap, but a flood on mars is scientific fact. Noahs flood covered the entire earth. Even if we disregard my first point for a second, a flood completely covering the earth would have eroded the entire area, not just a narrow channel. And the mars flood wasn't like noah's, anyway - didn't one of the articles that he flashed by say that there was only enough water to fill the mediterranean? It's a crapload of water, yes, but it's nowhere near enough to completely cover the surface of mars and create a planet wide flood.
I could continue on and argue all his points, but I'm in no mood to be writing a 10,000 word essay right now.
