I know more than two guys who have some serious heat problems with it. They have to run the fan at 90% while playing crysis or some other new game to make it stable. They also said that the temps never went above 90c with stock fan speed but it seems that their cards can't handle even that much. It might not be the core that gets overheated tho. most likely it is the PWM that is overheating.....

edit: they have good case airflow.... I wonder what would happen if they didn't have...
