I wanted you guys to know that the problem is finally solved.  I finally gave up on the Abit site and did a Google search for "VIAAGP1.SYS." I found a site where I could download this file by itself, without any other files to cull through.  The next time  got the error message I just pointed it directly to the file.  Problem solved.
